Addiction Services

It’s not why the addiction – it’s why the pain.

You can recover, and we can help.

Pre-formulated one-size fits all approaches to addiction don’t work. The issues that accompany addiction are unique to every individual, and that’s why we take a different approach to healing.

At Transformational Therapy Services, we believe that traumatic stress is often the gateway that leads to either chemical or behavioral addictions. We also understand that addiction is not a stand-alone issue – this means that there are often co-occurring mental health issues, relationships struggles, and more that are happening alongside the addiction. By helping the person struggling with problematic use or addiction to understand what needs are being met by the addiction, addressing the underlying concerns that the addiction is serving, by helping them to heal the relationship with themselves, and giving skills and tools to heal their relationships with others and being able to effectively hold space for, and honor emotions and the stress of daily living, that true holistic healing can occur.

Unlike traditional programs where the bulk of your therapy is done in a group format, we provide individual counseling, group therapy options that you select what you need that combine psychoeducation, skill-building, and processing time.

Johann Hari has famously stated that “The Opposite of Addiction Isn’t Sobriety – It’s Connection” – let us help you to reconnect to yourself and others as you find your unique pathway to recovery.

We have community partners who can support you with medication assisted therapy options as needed.

FAMILY & RELATIONAL COUNSELING

We are hard-wired for connection – this means that we need those that we care about to understand the recovery journey for their healing, and so they can support the recovering person as well in meaningful ways.
